WORRY IS AN UNNECESSARY WEIGHT
We often think of worry as a normal part of life. We think of it almost as a necessary reaction to the problems that arise in our lives, however, few of us realize how truly meaningless and even detrimental worry is to our own progression.
All of us want to move forward. We want to achieve greater things in life and become better, but when we worry it holds us back from the momentum we need to push forward.
When you have faith in something, you trust in it.
When we put faith in our worries, constantly rolling them over in our minds, we're trusting that bad things will happen. And as most of us know, nothing good comes out of that. Worry is an unnecessary weight.
With each negative thought, we feel the heaviness that worry brings. Worry steals away our days of peace by packing on pounds of doubt. The weight of those negative thoughts are what hold us back from going in a positive direction.
We must replace those thoughts with "light thoughts."
"Light thoughts" are thoughts that reflect God's word and His promises to us. They are literally much easier to carry. They allow us to flow easily in the positive direction God desires for us to be in instead of getting stuck in a dark, negative place.
God doesn't want us to be weighed down by worry. He wants us to put faith in the fact the He is working together all things for our good.
To truly enjoy life the way God intends for us to, as a child in the care of our father, we must put our faith in the right direction. Faith in the right direction is looking at God & saying I can’t figure this out, but I know you can & I'll leave it up to you to work it out.
Romans 8:28
That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.
1 Peter 5:7
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
