KRISTEN CULBREATH IS OVEREXPOSED

Overexposed Souls was founded in 2016 by Kristen Culbreath. Kristen grew up in the extremely small town of Ninety Six, SC where the population of farm animals is almost equivalent to the number of people.  She passed much of her time by creating art and, having bigger dreams for her talents than her surroundings could contain, she sought God to help her accomplish the desires he’d planted in her heart.

After overcoming several trials, persecutions, and setbacks, Kristen (now based in Raleigh, North Carolina) has become a trained artist, graphic and web designer, and minister that continually pursues her God-given dreams. She is a graduate of one of the top three art/design colleges in the country – Savannah College of Art & Design – and was ordained as a minister in March 2018 under the South Carolina Baptist Convention by Greenville Church Without Walls in Greenville, SC. A church that she formerly served as the Associate Pastor of before relocating to North Carolina.

From an early age, she realized the Lord was opening huge doors for her to gain knowledge, not only in visual arts, but in the gospel as well. Recognizing the call of God on her life was what set her on the path to create her own ministry. And being a first-generation preacher caused Kristen to cling to the Lord’s instructions regarding how the unique ministry He'd given her should look. Using art to demonstrate the gospel was a natural evolution of her purpose, and as a result, Overexposed Souls was born.

Having found peace and much understanding on the course of life that God’s plan has taken her on, Kristen aims to help others gain that same clarity.

By simplifying many of the complexities in the bible and making them understandable, memorable, applicable and visually entertaining, she intends to draw others into the Kingdom by cancelling out misunderstanding and misinterpretation.

Kristen’s deepest desire in being the co-creator of Overexposed Souls is to change the world through the use of creativity. She desires to see people live out the abundant life that Jesus Christ sacrificed his life for us all to live - His Kingdom come, His will be done, on Earth as in Heaven.
