we create art
with a message.
"My art is my act of service."
At a young age—desperate for purpose—I dedicated my gifts back to the Lord. Since then, He's multiplied everything back by molding me into the artist/designer/writer/speaker He created me to be for use in His Kingdom. Our talents increase when we connect to the creator.
- KRISTEN CULBREATH
oaks of righteousness
1 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.
4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.
"Oaks of Righteousness" was derived from verses in Isaiah chapter 61 describing that believers will be given beauty for ashes and become a "planting" of the Lord for the display of His splendor.
The front shows us as the seed growing into that glorious creation from root into full formation. The back—detailed in a holographic material—shows the glory that follows those that believe and keep their walk in alignment with the Lord's purpose.
Through His highlighted steps the Lord forms us into the creation we were destined to be from the very beginning. Ready to show off His glory.
The "Cross of Reflection" shows us how to see ourselves in the work of the cross.
As a finished work, we must recognize that a high price was paid in order for us to not only receive entry to heaven, but also to obtain abundant life.
From our broken, jagged and sharp edges He is able to create something beautiful out of what feels like nothing but pieces.
21 "Praise the LORD, for he has shown me the wonders of his unfailing love. He kept me safe when my city was under attack."
This piece of art is a reflection of the trials that we go through to receive the destiny God has for us. Although we would like for the process to be smooth, sometimes it takes the waves of life crashing into us to find the truth of what God created us to do.
It is a reminder that God's favor is on you even in the midst of the discouragement that life can offer to us when finding that path. All things, even the waves of life, work together for our good.
